We were honored and delighted to see Rebecca Monro recognized at Portland Business Journal's Forty Under 40 event. The assistant dean of the Lundquist College's Oregon MBA program, Monro was one of forty rising leaders honored at a luncheon on February 13.
The annual award recognizes Oregon professionals ages forty and younger for excellence in their fields, leadership, and commitment to community.
"Since joining the college in 2012, Rebecca has done tremendous work building on the distinctive strengths of our already vibrant MBA program. By expanding awareness of the Oregon MBA to a national—and even international—audience, she has drawn a wider pool of talented applicants to the program," said John Hull, executive director of the college's Business Innovation Institute and assistant dean for centers. An alumnus of the Forty Under 40 class of 2005, Hull nominated Monro for this year's award.
Two alumni of the college's Portland-based Oregon Executive MBA program also received the award: Tektronix General Manager Dave Farrell, MBA '07, and Mercy Corps Director of Cause Marketing Partnerships Jennifer Schmidt, MBA '10.
We congratulate Monro, Farrell, and Schmidt, and all the other Ducks honored this year.
